Paul Kempf, President and founder of
Kempf Consulting, Inc., began working in 1981 for a computer software
company specializing in higher education administrative systems. This
company, formerly known as CARS Information Systems, began in 1977 and
quickly found a needed niche in providing a fully customizable administrative
solution using state-of-the-art technology.
Beginning in 1983, the entire system was rewritten using the UNIX® operating
system and Informix®, a true relational database.
Paul was involved in all aspects of developing, testing and implementing
the new modules at over 50 client sites in the coming years. His expertise
in database technology, report-writing and interacting with end-users
and programmers kept him in high demand. He wrote the majority of the
reports in the current system and is especially skillful at creating
customized routines and reports.
Kempf Consulting, Inc. has worked with dozens of higher education institutions
since providing consulting services in 1987.
In 1999, the CARS system was bought by Jenzabar®, was renamed Jenzabar
CX® and became the flagship system of Jenzabar’s® various product
lines.
In 2000, after spending several years overseas in Christian missions
work, Paul returned and began providing independent consulting services
for the Jenzabar CX® system. Since then, Kempf Consulting has worked
with over 30 different institutions, and is now assisting institutions
with a variety of administrative systems, including SCT Banner®, Jenzabar EX® and Datatel®.
